First of all Thank you all for your continued support of our efforts to save the Special 8 acres in unincorporated DuPage County. Please pass on the news and these attachments to all interested trail users and supporters. We are real close to getting the acquisition of the Special 8 by the DuPage Forest Preserve District approved. We need people to attend the meeting on Thursday (12/6), see below. It will be real quick. We will be in and out within an hour. We do not need you to speak. We need to fill the chairs and the room to impress the DuPage County Board members in attendance. This week's issue of the Glen Ellyn Sun lead story is an excellent article about the campaign to Save the Special 8. Click on this link: http://www.suburbanchicagonews.com/sunpub/glenellyn/ Please pass on the story and ask any interested parties to write to:
Send all letters to: DuPage County, 421 N County Farm Rd, Wheaton, IL 60187 or send them an email. Check out their email addresses at the County website: http://www.dupageforest.com/COMMISSION/comm.html We also need letters to Greg Matthews, President, Village of Glen Ellyn, 535 Duane St, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 and Sandra Minogue, President, Glen Ellyn Park District, 185 Spring Ave, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137.
