- Watch tomorrow's (11/27) Trib West section for an article on the
Special 8 and the meeting today at DuPage County's Transportation
Committee meeting.
- As a result of today's meeting and my conversations with two County
Board members after today's meeting it is clear we need to write to all
County Board members, see the attached detail on next steps and their
names/email addresses if you click on their names. I would ask that you
be sure to write to Bill Maio, Chairman of the Forest Preserve District
Land Acquisition Committee, Robert Schillerstrom, Chairman of DuPage
County and Dewey Pierotti Jr, President of the DuPage Forest Preserve
District first
- We will likely need to meet with the Land Acquisition Committee of
the Forest Preserve District next week Thursday morning.
When I have the
detail on that meeting I will forward another email.
- Also try to write to Vil. Pres. Greg Matthews and Sandra Minogue,
President of the Glen Ellyn Park District. We need the local authorities
to support the effort even if we get the County Board/Forest Preserve
District Commissioners to agree with the effort to save the Special 8.
