Elmhurst Park District: Great Western Prairie Work Day

Our next volunteer day at the Elmhurst Great Western Prairie this Saturday, March 16 from 9:00 until noon. Forecast calls for a partly cloudy day with temps in the 50’s with a 15% chance of rain. Sounds like a perfect nearly spring day to get out into the Elmhurst Great Western Prairie for our second volunteer day of 2024.
This month, we will again be meeting at our regular spot at Berkley Ave and the Illinois Prairie Path. If you have your own gloves, loppers or hand saws (no power tools!) please bring them along, if not we should have plenty. And please arrive just before 9:00 for the orientation meeting. Arriving early is especially important for first timers so you hear the complete instructions and learn about safety issues.
