Prairie Path users decry loss of trees

As you may know, DuPage County is saying that there is no change in policy with the new tree removals on the trails but the 5 - 6' shoulder along the path appears to have been the norm for 30+ years. Now they have begun removing trees (up to 4+" across and 12'+ tall) and natural plants up to 15' away from the path. This wide shoulder and removal of trees/natural plants is also removing a significant portion of the tree canopy enjoyed by many.
